Wildlife & Wine Safari Social

Hosted by Martine Colette, Founder, Wildlife Waystation in partnership with The Boisset Collection

Join us on Sunday, June 10, 2018 in the gardens of Martine's home at the Wildlife Waystation located in the Angeles Forest,

for a magical afternoon of wine, wildlife, and safari savoir-faire,

supporting the many exotic rescued animals who call the sanctuary home.

This event features a delicious, handpicked tasting from Boisset's curated collection of exclusive wines from Napa Valley and Sonoma, complete with exceptional appetizer, cheese and charcuterie pairings from Wildlife Waystation's own private chef..

The Boisset wine ambassadors will take you on a tour of the palette with their award winning wines in Martine's lovely sanctuary garden, educating you about their wines from Northern California, followed by a guided informational tour of the Wildlife Waystation grounds with our docents to spend time with our rescued wildlife residents. This exclusive tour is usually open for Wildlife Waystation members only, but with this event you have the opportunity of tasting fine wine and meeting some of the animal residents.

Please note:  Purchasing a ticket for this event helps support the mission of Wildlife Waystation. More than 77,000 abused, abandoned, orphaned, and injured animals have been helped by Wildlife Waystation since its inception. These include Siberian and Bengal tigers, lions, leopards, ligers, jaguars, mountain lions, wolves, coyotes, camels, primates, hyenas, bears, foxes, reptiles, exotic birds, birds of prey, and more. With over 40 chimpanzees, Wildlife Waystation is also the largest chimpanzee sanctuary in the Western United States. Almost all of our chimps came from biomedical research labs in the mid 1990s.

Wildlife Waystation provides 24-hour care to more than 400 permanent animal residents. The Health Center and full-time veterinary staff ensures that the care each animal receives is based on the individual animal’s requirements. Preventative care, treatment for infections, diseases, including cancer, and geriatric care are all part of providing exceptional care for our animals.

Wildlife Waystation receives no funding from federal, state, or local governments, but is supported solely by private donations, foundation and corporate grants, bequests and animal sponsorships. The sanctuary is staffed 24 hours-a-day, 7 days a week by a professional staff and highly trained and dedicated volunteers.
